Relaxed, stress-free maternity photography

Whether it is your first or your fifth, having a baby is a special moment in life and it deserves to be documented properly. With all my maternity and newborn collections I like to make time to get to know you and your family. I want you to feel comfortable with me and in front of the camera. A growing family can be a stressful time and your photo sessions should be fun, natural and relaxed; a moment to cherish in a busy life.

Choosing your maternity & newborn sessions

As you start out on purchasing professional photographs of your family it is important to understand the options. I offer single sessions, maternity and newborn combined sessions, and also the possibility to chart your family over one year in four photo sessions. Collections start at 700 CHF.

It is also important to think about what you would like to do with your images. I offer collections which include albums, prints and canvas clusters. All of the collections include some digital files for you to download and print as you wish and additional files can be added to any collection. But don’t let your time and effort go to waste sitting on a hard drive! I have chosen the best photographic products available for you to display your images in albums, on the wall or in very special prints.

I am also happy to put together a personalised quote for canvases or framed prints if you have a specific wall space or style that you would like for your home.

Once you have chosen a collection, I will send you a contract and first deposit invoice. The deposit is 25% of your collection price. For multiple sessions you can choose a payment scheme that suits you. The balance is due on approval of your final product design.

What to expect from the shoots

My maternity sessions normally take place outdoors as this is where I love to shoot. Choose a spot that you love, or let me suggest some of my favourite places. We can also start the shoot at your home if you would like to document the nursery and your life together before the baby. The best time for maternity photographs is between 7-8 months.

Your newborn shoot should take place within the first two weeks of birth. You may not feel like having your picture taken or having anyone over but this is essential to get those tiny features on film! On the day of the shoot we take things slow and I work with you and your baby’s needs. As well as portraits I take a lot of lifestyle images of you and your family with your new child, these new interactions and relationships are incredibly important.

If you choose to have four sessions we will also do a 6 month shoot as your child begins to be aware of the world, and a first birthday cake smash or party.

Making the most of your images

You will have the opportunity to view your images in a beautiful online gallery. Here is where you can choose your favourites for printing, proof your birth announcements and make changes to your album. You can add files, cards, album pages and duplicate grandparent albums at any point.
